Cornerstone Co-op Helps Bring Market Square to Life in Two Hills
We’re excited to announce that the Two Hills District Agricultural Society has been awarded $77,000 through the 2025 Co-op Community Spaces program!
This major investment will support the creation of the Two Hills Market Square — a year-round community gathering space that will provide local producers, artisans, and small businesses with a no-cost venue to showcase their goods. The project will include custom vendor sheds, fencing, solar lighting, and a covered stage, all designed to help revitalize downtown and foster economic growth in the area.
On June 25, Cornerstone Co-op joined members of the Town of Two Hills, Two Hills District Agricultural Society, and community leaders for an official cheque presentation at the future Market Square site.
“This project is a major win for our trading area,” said Madi Chase, Cornerstone’s Marketing & Community Engagement Manager. “Only 14 projects were selected this year out of more than 600 applications, and just four of those were in Alberta. We’re incredibly proud to be part of bringing this vision to life.”
Cornerstone Co-op was proud to support the Agricultural Society’s application and is continuing to work with the group by offering materials, designs, and shed options through our Home & Agro Centre. We're committed to ensuring the project is both community-driven and co-operatively supported — right down to the lumber and fencing.
“Co-op Community Spaces is all about investing in places that bring people together,” added Chase. “That’s exactly what this space will do — and we’re so excited to see it come to life.”
What is Co-op Community Spaces?
