National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2026
Continuing Our Commitment to Learning and Community
As we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, Cornerstone Co-op reflects on the importance of continued learning, meaningful relationships and supporting Indigenous communities throughout our trading area.
Our team continues to build awareness and understanding through learning opportunities such as the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation certificate program, Diversity and Inclusion: The Basics Workshop, and Respectful Workplace training.
Throughout the past year, we have also been grateful for opportunities to support and participate in community-led events celebrating Indigenous culture, tradition and connection.

This year, Cornerstone Co-op was proud to support several events and initiatives, including:
- Miscihk’s Country Market: Saddle Lake First Nation broke ground on Alberta’s first Western Nations Gas Bar, an Indigenous-owned and operated business that will be fuelled by Co-op. Cornerstone Co-op is proud to support this new partnership as the local fuel supplier. [Read more about the project.]
